They had my daughters laptop 3 weeks for a simple virus scan. (2 weeks longer than they estimated when dropped off). Then had the nerve to charge $50 for the scan (which took less than 1/2 hour). This was on top of the $50 diagnostic fee (we never actually received a “diagnosis”). Never again.
I just bought a laptop for 2/3's of what the company I work for was going to charge with my employee discount. I brought in the specs and they're building it to suit my needs.
I use Nerds on Call all the time. They're fast, they give accurate estimates and they don't do additional work without a phone call first. Best of all, they're honest. There are times when they'll tell me the cost of the repair will be more than the machine is worth. That means a lot and that's why I keep going back.
Had my one year old PC almost a month. Cost 190 to troubleshoot and reload windows. Forgot to order part to read drive. Wanted more to repair touch screen than computer was new. When I got it back the cover was filthy and had minor scratches on it. Sent email to Mr Ford complaining and it went un answered. Go somewhere else
